Water Heaters by Glasmeier Plumbing
Gas Water Heaters
Gas water heaters are cost-efficient because gas is one-third the cost of electricity. They are available in tank or tankless options. Tankless provide a nice, steady stream of hot water for your luxurious baths and showers. Gas water heaters are expected to last 10-15 years of good service with regular maintenance.
Electric Water Heaters
These are probably the most commonly used water heaters in homes. They work by keeping a tank of water constantly heated so you have access to warm water at all times. With tank water heaters, there will be a recovery time if the tank is emptied with hot water use above the tank limit. Not the most cost-effective, but they are very reliable.
Tankless Water Heaters
Tankless water heaters are becoming more and more popular with homeowners. They are more energy-efficient and can be safer than regular tanked heaters because they don't need to constantly heat a tank of water that is under great pressure. You also don’t have any ‘recharge’ waiting time so your hot water is basically endless. They are now available in gas or electric options.
Hybrid Water Heaters (Heat Pump)
Hybrid water heaters combine the best of two worlds. They keep a supply of water always heated for immediate use but are extremely efficient with heating water. They also recharge or recover quicker than conventional electric tank water heaters. You can see savings on your monthly electric bill as well as enjoy long showers with hybrid water heaters. These hybrid water heaters use approximately 1/4 the energy of a regular electric tank water heater, thus paying for themselves in a short period of time.
